PATNA: State BJP chief Dr CP Thakur on Monday reviewed the state unit’s preparedness to make the announced programmes pertaining to the cultural and political arenas a success.
The programmes include demonstrations and dharnas to be held at the block and district headquarters against the failure of the UPA to check price rise. The protests would be organised on February 21.
Other programmes on the party’s agenda are celebration of the birth anniversary of Sant Ravidas at Rabindra Bhawan on February 18, while the party has also announced to celebrate the birth anniversary of Swami Sahajanand Saraswati at a state-level function at Shri Krishna Memorial hall here on March 6.
Dr Thakur addressed the meeting of state BJP office-bearers, as well as president and general secretaries of various frontal organisations of the state unit on Monday. He told them to celebrate the birth anniversary of Sant Ravidas at all the district headquarters on February 18, and of Sahajanand Saraswati on March 2 as a prelude to the state-level function on March 6. Besides, the two-day meet of the party’s state executive committee would be held at Muzaffarpur from March 12.
